Robert Wilhelm is a Correctional Classifications Specialist II for Inmate Services at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Robert Wilhelm began his career with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office/Detention Center in May 1996 as a Correctional Officer. In August 1999, he transferred to the Pre-Trial Services Division as a Correctional Classification Specialist. In December 1999, he was transferred to the Alternative Sentencing Program, followed by another transfer in November 2002 to his current position as a Correctional Classification Specialist II with Inmate Services.
Mr. Wilhelm became actively involved with the Maryland Criminal Justice Association (MCJA) in August 2018. He currently holds the position of Outreach and Sponsorship Coordinator. He also became a member of ACA at that time. Mr. Wilhelm became a Duly Authorized Inspector (DAI) with the Maryland Commission on Correctional Standards (MCCS) in June 2017.
Mr. Wilhelm received his B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University in 1993. He received his M.S. Degree in Community Counseling from McDaniel College in 2007. He is a lifelong resident of Maryland and currently resides in New Market with his wife and 12-year-old son.
